Helpy, it’s too hot for jeans, and too cold for shorts. What do?
Cutoff jeans, of course!
Now, on April 1st, Helpy would have let that answer slide, but we are back in the serious part of the year, so Helpy must admit that, in fact, this is not at all accurate. Cutoff jeans are in fact a solution to a completely different problem; that of rising hemlines. Jeans are widely regarded as more progressive clothing for women than they are for men, which turns out to mean that a woman in jeans is fashionable if the jeans end where hemlines were about fifty years ago. Thus, around fifty years after knee-length skirts became popular, knee-length jeans were fashionable.
In fact, what you should do is either wear jeans and put ice down them, or wear shorts and exercise a little harder.
